Yes. In order to ensure that I give you an accurate quotation, I need to be able to assess how much preparation needs to be done in order to achieve a high quality finish. It also allows me to take measurements and chat with you about the work that you would like to be carried out.
No, I will collect information on the day then take it away with me to go through. I will then compose a written quotation for you based on the current cost of materials. The price of paint and other necessaries fluctuates regularly, especially in the current economic climate. I always strive to get the best prices for you by comparing and sourcing my materials from a selection of suppliers.
No, your quote will be valid for 14 days. This is to give you time to decide if you would like to go ahead, and to get quotes from other decorators if you want to. If you wish to proceed after this time, I will need to re-do the quote, taking into account any changes in price since the original quote was done.

I carefully research everything that I use and never use substandard materials because it could adversely affect my reputation.
I work very hard to ensure that you are delighted with the work I have produced. However, in the unlikely event that there is anything you aren't completely satisfied with, you have seven days from the completion date to contact me with anything that you feel needs revisiting. I will then come back and discuss with you what needs rectifying and when I will return.
